Justin Taylor was a forward for Syracuse basketball for two seasons. Taylor was a solidly built forward with a high school reputation for being a great shooter.

Taylor was a reserve most of his freshman year, part of the regular rotation of players. He would primarily play small forward with Joe Girard and Judah Mintz entrenched at the guard positions, and a routine need for additional support in the front court. Taylor showed a nice perimeter shot making nearly 40% of his three point attempts. Early in the season he would come off the bench and score 25 points in a loss to Bryant. Late in the season he would replace Chris Bell at forward in the starting line up for a couple of games.

Taylor would start at power forward his sophomore season, replacing a suspended Benny Williams at the beginning of the year. Taylor would remain a starter for the entire season, matching up defensively against players much taller and heavier than himself. Taylor's shooting suffered, and his confidence reduced as the season progressed, to the point that he no longer attempted perimeter shots by season's end.

Taylor transferred to James Madison after his sophomore year.
