Sol Bloom was an outstanding player for Syracuse from 1911 to 1915, playing guard and forward. He was a fleet footed player and a good shooter. Bloom was captain of the team his senior season 1912-13. He was president of the Zeta Beta Tau fraternity at Syracuse. Bloom was the designated free throw shooter most of his career.
Bloom would later become a highly respected medical doctor.
