Whitie Hautanen was a reserve guard on the Syracuse basketball team for one season. He would play in two games, and he scored two points in a win over Buffalo.
Hautanen would work at General Electric for 40 years upon graduating from Syracuse. He would be certified as a high school basketball referee, and would begin officiating in Massachusetts and Central New York in the 1950s.
He passed away in 2009.[1]
