Mark Meadors was a reserve forward for Syracuse basketball for two seasons. Meadors was a knowledgeable player on the court and would give up playing in order to coach.

Mark Meadors Syracuse Orangemen basketballMeadors was the leading scorer on the Syracuse freshman team with 20.7 points per game. However, he was unable to carry that success to the varsity level, where he was a reserve. He would quit playing basketball his senior season to instead be the coach of the freshman and junior varsity squads in 1975-1976. He would graduate from Syracuse in 1976.

Meadors would be an assistant coach for Jim Boeheim from 1976 through 1979. He would be a full time color commentator for Syracuse basketball from 1980 to 1983, and part time until 1987. He was also finding full time employment as a human resource professional, starting out with Carrier Corporation.

In 2000 Meadors joined Tronox, Inc where he eventually became the vice president of human resources.
