Hima was Jesse Edwards primary backup at center. He played when Edwards was in foul trouble, or in those occasions where Edwards needed a rest. Hima was fairly limited offensively, but he was very adept at blocking shots. He blocked 7 shots and had 8 rebounds in the overtime loss to St. John's. He would also come off the bench with four blocks against Boston College and Virginia.

Nagging injuries would hamper Hima's junior season limiting him to only 43 minutes of playing time. He would announce he was transferring after that year.
