Kevin James was a swingman forward for Syracuse basketball for four seasons.
James played in only one game his freshman year. He was one of the top reserves on the team his sophomore season. He would make his only career start that season, in a loss to Pittsburgh, replacing an injured Ross Kindel.
James was still a significant reserve his junior year, though his scoring dropped. The arrival of freshman reserve Louis Orr took playing time from most of the front court players. Rookie head coach Jim Boeheim also played a very deep roster that year with several players seeing significant time as reserves.
James was the top reserve forward his senior year. Again on a squad with a deep bench, his playing time was limited by the number of players rotating onto the court.
