Hank Schultz was a center for Syracuse basketball for four seasons.

Schultz would play in a few games his freshman year and was one of the top scorers early in the season. He had to leave school mid year and missed all of the 1945-1946 season for military service. He would return to school in 1946-1947.

Schultz was a strong rebounder. Though he was 6'4" he would start five games at guard his sophomore year while Ed Stickel was out. Schultz was the top reserve player both his sophomore and junior seasons. He was behind big Royce Newell on the depth chart, so he also played time at forward.

Schultz would see reduced playing time his senior year.

Schultz would play basketball for the Oneida Indians in the American League in 1950.
