Chance Westry was a guard for Syracuse basketball with two injury plagued seasons.

Chance WestryWestry was a highly recruited player in high school, and chose to start his collegiate career at Auburn. He had knee surgery in October of his freshman year, and could not fully recover from it. He stopped playing after January 4th to recover. Westry would transfer to Syracuse after the season.

Westry's knee would bother him in the preseason of his first year at Syracuse and he would undergo surgery. As a result of this he missed the entire season. He would miss the majority of his second season at Syracuse due to medical reasons. He would transfer to the University of Alabama-Birmingham for his senior year.

Westry was finally healthy his senior year and had a breakout season with UAB. He would score a career high 31 points in a win over Cleveland State, and scored 20+ points eleven times. He would lead the American conference in assists, and had a career high 15 assists in American conference tournament loss to Charlotte. He was named to the American Conference Second Team.
