Frank Reddout played forward for Syracuse for three seasons. He was a valuable reserve on the team his sophomore season.
Reddout moved into the starting lineup his junior season. He would set the Syracuse single game rebounding record with 34 in a win over Temple on February 9, 1952. Reddout also had 20 rebounds in the first half, also a school record.
In his senior season, Reddout would tie the school record for points in a game (set two years earlier by Ed Miller) when he had 40 points in a 88-76 win over Canisius on February 14th. He would lead the team in scoring with 16.9 points a game.
Reddout was drafted in the third round by the Rochester Royals. He would play seven games before leaving the team to fulfill his military obligations.

Reddout would earn a post-graduate degree at Syracuse and have a career in education as a teacher and guidance counselor in the Newark, NY area. He would also coach the Newark basketball team for a few years in the 1960s.
