David Patrick was a reserve guard for Syracuse basketball for one season.
Patrick was born in Bermuda, but grew up in Australia. He played three years of high school basketball in Australia, and was a member of the Australia Junior National Team and the All-Australia Team 1992-1994. He would come to Louisiana for his senior year of high school at Chapel Trafton, and would be named the Louisiana Player of the Year (1995).
Patrick would play in 28 games his freshman year but would not see a lot of minutes as senior point guard Lazarus Sims rarely ever left the court. Patrick was unhappy with his playing time and would transfer to Southwestern Louisisana (now Louisiana-LaFayette).
