Comments:
The win snapped Syracuse's NCAA record losing streak at 27 games. Bob Murray hit a layup with 11 seconds remaining to give Syracuse the win 73-72.
Syracuse led at the half 41-35, but got into foul trouble in the second half. Boston College would tie the game at 60-60, but then Syracuse would pull the lead out to 71-63. The Eagles would then score 9 straight points to take the lead 72-71, before Murray's game winning basket.
Carl Vernick would lead all scorers with 25 points.
